One of the most asked questions I get on Instagram is about what healthy snacks I rely on to get me through my busy days.

Truth is, I wasn’t always super careful about the snacks I was putting into my body. For a while, I would eat healthy meals but would grab the sugar-packed granola bar between meals thinking it would help fill me up.

Chances are if you follow my page, you are looking for healthy and nutritious alternatives to what used to be your favorite childhood snacks.

I LOVE food. Anyone that knows me, or follows me, can obviously tell by my feed that eating is one of my favorite things to do! That said since I was a kid my body rejected the foods that my peers were always able to eat without a problem.

Oreo’s? Stomach ache.

Pizza? Stomach ache and acne.

Ice-cream? Just no.

If you have followed my journey then you know a lot of my food allergies have subsided over the past couple of years as I have actively worked to realign my hormones. But part of what keeps my hormones in check is fueling my body with nutritious and healthy snacks.

Below are some of my favorite store-bought snacks, make sure to check back next week for part 2, home-made snack, and later part 3, dorm room snacks!

1. Popcorn

Popcorn is my favorite snack in the world, but so many brands add in ingredients that just end up hurting you in the long run. I love this popcorn brand, along with a few others because they are made with REAL ingredients.

You can buy the popcorn here!

2. Dark Chocolate Covered Almonds

Skinny Dipped

If you follow me on Instagram then you know I am the queen of dessert. Every time I eat something savory I have to eat something sweet afterward. These almonds are a great way to satisfy my cravings and require no work to make.

You can buy the chocolate covered almonds here!

3. Siggi’s Yogurt Tubes

Siggi’s Yogurt Tubes

Yogurt tubes may seem childish but they’re super handy and taste so good. As the box totes, they contain a minimal amount of sugar and even have a solid amount of protein for yogurt.

When it comes to snacks I try to eat a good amount of protein because it fills me up for a good amount of time.

You can buy the Siggi’s yogurt tubes here!

4. Roasted Chickpeas

Chickpeas quickly became my favorite legumes over the course of this past year. They’re super versatile and wicked good for you. They offer a range of vitamins, minerals, and fiber, which is something that a lot of females tend to not get enough of.

If you’re feeling creative, try making your own popped chickpeas at home!

You can buy Biena chickpeas here!

5. Square Organics Bars

I love bars! I try to get a new type to try every time I go into Whole Foods, but these and GoMacro stay my go-to’s. They’re tasty, filling, and filled with protein.

They’re also a good, quick thing to grab when you are on the go. I try to eat whole foods as much as possible, which you will see more of in part 2 of the snack series, but we all have days when we don’t even have 2 mins to cut up an apple. Thus, bars are a lifesaver.

You can buy Square Organic Bars here! You can also use my code “withlinds” to get 20% your order.

6. Single-Serve Honey Almond Butter Packets

Justin’s Almond Butter

Oh my gosh, possibly my favorite healthy snacks on this list! I love these packets. They’re super useful, tasty, and not to mention filling. You can eat it plain, or top some fruit, crackers, or veggies with it.

You can buy the single-serve packets here!

7. Granola

Granola is my favorite thing to have on hand. It’s good to top fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, or just eat plain.

You can buy Safe + Fair granola here! If you use “linds20” you can get 20% which makes the granola even more affordable.

8. Chomps Sticks

Chomps makes these high-quality, protein-packed sticks with sustainably sourced meat, some natural spices, and no weird additives.

They’re awesome to bring on the go and are a great source of fuel.

You can get chomps sticks here!

9. Plant Snacks

Plant Snacks

These cassava root chips are truly the best, and if you are a fan of salt and vinegar, they are a great alternative to the classic.

You can get my favorite variety pack here!

10. Nuts

Nuts are a super easy snack to carry with you and are great sources of fat, fiber, and protein. Most of the fat in nuts are monounsaturated fat, as well as omega-6 and omega-3 polyunsaturated fats, which are healthy fats and great fuel!

You can get the nuts here!

11. Crackers

Simple Mills Crackers

I love bringing these with me just about everywhere. There’s really not much to say, aside from give them a try.

You can get these crackers here!

Hope these snacks help you get through the long days of work and school! I know if I am not properly fueled, I get super sleepy and tired throughout the day, so I always make sure to be well-prepared.

Be on the lookout, because part 2 and part 3 of this series on snacks is coming. Part 2 will be snacks that you make at home (think fun combinations like cucumbers + mozzarella) and then part 3 will be the best snacks and food staples (think peanut butter and rice cakes) to keep in your dorm!

xx Linds
