I’m Lindsay, a holistic nutritionist who loves simplifying health, living wholeheartedly, and eating real food.
I'm a whole mix of everything (hint: enneagram 3). I'm not great at keeping an aesthetic theme going on my Instagram, I'm one of the clumsiest people I know, and I struggle with the same problems each and every day of my life. I thrive off of quality time and spending time with those that I love.
I love productivity, moderation, and to-do lists. As a natural-born perfectionist with workaholic tendencies, my life has not always looked the way it does today. After a lot of serious crashes and burns health-wise, I learned the importance of moderation in the hustle, and am doing all I can to share that here.
While Wellness with Linds is a huge (and passionate) part of my life, my full-time job is running Freckle Studio as creative director. Think lots of phone calls, ideation, and content creation. Feel free to send me a message if you ever have any questions relating to this (or anything else!).
Frequently Asked Questions
When did you start blogging?
I started blogging years ago, long before it was cool, and at a time where I was just considered strange — ha, no joke I vividly remember one of my best friends always telling me I was a weirdo (in a loving way ofc).
You can find a post about my hot and cold relationship with blogging here.
How did you get into this niche?
I originally started my Instagram/blog in order to document non-inflammatory meals I was making and to share my experience with a few autoimmune diseases I have. I deleted the account several times over the years, getting frustrated with my health and feeling too pressured to share the downs that come with autoimmune issues. After years of fighting, I finally found a happy medium in my space where I feel at home with what I am sharing.

What do you use to photograph?
Noting too fancy, just mainly my iPhone 8+. I used to have a pretty nice canon with a range of lenses but when I moved to D.C. after college someone broke into my car and stole my camera and my four lenses. Since then I have stuck to my iPhone, and occasionally have used my boyfriend's Sony a7!
Where do you live?
I currently live in Washington, D.C. It’s one of my favorite cities in the U.S. and I truly love every part of living here.
If you follow me on social media, then you know I tend to bounce around quite a bit. I have a wandering soul and love moving around. I spend a lot of time in NYC and slowly feel myself being pulled in that direction. My DC lease is until July 2020 but who knows where I'll be after that.
What do you do for work?
I own a creative studio, and have deemed myself a content creator! I’ve been trying to come up with a new title for months because I feel like everyone and their cousin is a “content creator” these days, but it will do for now.
Check out @thefrecklestudio on social media or freckle.studio online to see more in detail about what I do full-time!
So you wanna hear my story?
Unlike many stories, there's no introduction to mine. I mean maybe we could pan the camera to the hospital room where I was born incredibly sick, and immediately pumped with antibiotics. Or we could skip to the part in middle school where I felt so defeated at a young age, spending afternoons in hospitals instead of on the soccer field. Or we could go to high school when I had to quit sports because my young body didn’t have the energy to play.
It’s been a long road from here to now. It hasn’t been easy at times, and it’s definitely been incredibly trying and hard, but it’s what has gotten me to where I am now.
Most of the things you will see on this blog don’t include things that I used to battle with, like autoimmune diseases, hormone imbalances, adrenal fatigue, depression, and a number of other things I have lived in and out of the past decade of my life. But every once in awhile, when I feel the timing is right, I’ll share more about the section of my life that got me to where I am now.
