Chewy Peppermint Chocolate Cookies
These peppermint chocolate cookies are my go-to holiday party cookie. I bring them to family gatherings, to parties, and especially to cookie swaps!
As October starts to wind down, and the holiday season quietly approaches, I am finding myself obsessed with holiday flavors.
From peppermint to mocha, to ginger, to maple, my kitchen has been smelling more and more like a bakery these days. And honestly, I don’t think it’s ever smelt better.
For this recipe, I partnered with one of my favorite supplement brands, Silver Fern. They are an awesome family-oriented company that makes my go-to probiotics, fiber, and protein.
These peppermint chocolate cookies are bound to be a crowd-pleaser, whether it’s at a party with friends, or at home with your family.
Chewy Peppermint Chocolate Cookies
chewy, gooey, and gluten-free as always!

- 2 scoops Silverfern chocolate protein powder
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup coconut sugar
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 cup grass-fed butter
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
- 1/2 cup mini-chocolate chips
- 1 candy cane
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350.
-
Wisk together the butter (softened), coconut oil (softened), and coconut sugar in a bowl. Add in the egg and peppermint extract.
-
In a separate bowl, add together the almond flour, chocolate protein powder, cocoa powder, baking soda, and baking powder.
-
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet. After they are combined, fold in the mini chocolate chips.
-
Form the dough into small balls, placing on a cookie tray.
-
Bake for 10-12 minutes. Pull the cookies out of the oven, and add crushed candy cane on top of them. Let them cool and then enjoy!
These cookies are unreal. If you like peppermint and chocolate, then this combo is unbeatable.
To make these even better, I made these cookies with Silver Fern’s chocolate protein powder. It adds a whole new level of chewiness to the cookies and makes them even more chocolate-y than the originals.
If you follow along on Instagram, then you know this protein is basically the only type I will use, because my stomach is super sensitive to most protein powders.
I started using @silverfernbrand about a year ago and haven’t looked back. I love partnering with them for recipes because its a brand I already recommend all the time! Their protein is plant-based, includes digestive enzymes (aka why I can take it), and probiotics. It’s a powerful mixture, and adding it to these cookies was a no brainer
It’s a plant-based protein that is made with the best ingredients, mixes easily and smoothly, and provides you with 20 grams of protein per serving that come from six different plant sources!
