Have you ever tried chickpea cookie dough? I held off for far too long simply because I couldn’t imagine something like chickpeas being able to substitute one of my favorite things.

I really wish I hadn’t of held off for so long because this version of cookie dough really surprised me with its taste. Made with only a few ingredients, it’s easy and affordable to make.

Cookie dough always brings me back to childhood. It brings me back to making chocolate chip cookies with my nana in her kitchen. While this might not be the same cookie dough (a lot less sugar and butter lol) it’s a great alternative for me to keep on hand.

Ingredients needed to make this chickpea cookie dough:

  • Chickpeas
  • Coconut or almond flour
  • Nut Butter of choice
  • Maple Syrup
  • Vanilla extract
  • Coconut sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • Chocolate chips

If you’re looking for a dessert or just some cookie dough to snack on, this one is for you. It’s a great alternative to cookie dough if you are looking to switch it up. I’ll share some more dessert recipes below in case you have a sweet tooth.
