This gluten-free double chocolate loaf might be my new go-to. If you follow along on Instagram, then you know banana bread is a staple in my home. I love to make one every few weeks and keep it frozen. I am being 100% honest when I say it reminds me of fudge.

I know everyone is all about gingerbread, maple, and other holiday-flavors right now but there’s no other way for me to celebrate the weekend than with this gluten-free double chocolate loaf.

It’s sweet – but not too sweet – and is the perfect post dinner sweet. If you’re anything like me and love a bite of something sweet after a savory meal, then this is a perfect addition.

Ingredients needed to make this gluten-free double-chocolate bread:

  • Almond flour
  • Coconut flour
  • Baking soda
  • Cacao or cocoa powder
  • Bananas (ripe!)
  • Nut butter
  • Eggs (flax eggs work)

If you’re looking for a dessert or just a bread to snack on, this one is for you. I know I have a ton of banana bread variations, but this might be my favorite. I’ll share some more dessert recipes below in case you have a sweet tooth.

  • 3/4 cup coconut flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 cup cacao powder (cocoa works too)

  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 eggs (can sub flax egg)
  • chocolate chunks or chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350.

  2. Add all ingredients to a blender.

  3. Add ingredients to a greased loaf pan.

  4. Top with chocolate and bake for 30ish mins.

  5. Enjoy! I keep mine frozen, kind of reminds me of fudge like that.

This is not a vegan recipe, but if you want to try substituting the eggs for flax eggs, feel free to give it a try! I have yet to experiment this way, but let me know if you do.
